Not legal advice. Read Before You Sign is a red-flag check done by an OnlyFans management agency — not by a lawyer — and it does not replace one. For any legal decision about a contract, talk to a lawyer licensed in your state or country.

Read Before You Sign is a free red-flag check of an OnlyFans agency contract. You send us the contract another agency offered you — with your personal details blacked out — and we read it against the points from our published guides for anyone comparing agencies: the commission and its base, the term and renewal, exit penalties, who owns your account, email and content, upfront payments and passwords, exclusivity, and who writes in your chat.

We are an agency ourselves, so take our read for what it is: a second opinion from people who work inside this industry — not neutral advice, and not legal advice.

What we check in the contract

Eight points from our published guides.

The commission — and its baseIs the exact percentage written in the contract, or left "to be agreed"? And does it apply to your gross earnings or to your net payout after OnlyFans' 20%? The same percentage costs much more on gross.
The term and how it renewsHow long you are committing for, whether it renews automatically, and exactly when and how you can stop the renewal.
What leaving costsExit fees, penalties or "exit commissions", the notice you have to give, and whether there is a sentence you can point to that explains how you leave.
Who owns your account, email and contentWhether any clause moves your OnlyFans, your social profiles, your handle, the email behind your logins or your content into the agency's hands.
Money before you earnSetup, onboarding or "activation" fees, retainers, or marketing budgets you fund out of pocket — anything charged before the agency has earned you a dollar.
How they handle your passwordsWorking access to run your account is normal when it is documented, limited and revocable. Credentials they can keep and refuse to hand back are not.
ExclusivityHow long it lasts and whether it keeps binding you after the contract ends.
Who writes in your chatWhether the contract says who gets access to your account, who speaks in your name and what they are never allowed to do.

The red flags we look for

They come from our published guides on OnlyFans agency contract red flags and how to choose an OnlyFans agency. None of them takes a law degree to spot — but they are easy to miss when you are still excited about the call.

1. The commission is not in writing

If the percentage you were quoted on the call is missing from the contract, says "to be agreed", or points to a schedule you were never shown, you have not been told the price. And the number is only half of it: the contract must also say whether it applies to your gross earnings or to your net payout after the platform's cut.

2. You pay before you earn

Setup fees, onboarding fees, "activation" costs, mandatory budgets you fund yourself. A revenue-share agency should only eat when you eat. One that needs your money up front makes its living from creators' fees, not from results.

3. Long exclusivity with no way out

A few months of initial commitment, stated openly, is normal: a real chat, pricing and traffic system takes time to show results. The cage is the combination — a term far longer than the work justifies (a twelve-month lock-in with vague exit terms, for example), no termination clause, renewals you can only stop inside a narrow window, or exit penalties priced so that leaving costs more than staying. Automatic renewal on its own is not the problem (ours renews too). Not being able to find how you leave is.

4. They want your accounts, not just access

Documented, limited, revocable access to run your page is how management works. Registering your pages in the agency's name, taking control of the email behind your logins, keeping credentials they will not return, or clauses that transfer your accounts, your handle or your content to the agency — that is never normal.

5. "Guaranteed income"

No agency controls your results: they depend on your content, your consistency, your audience and the market. A guaranteed dollar figure in the pitch, with nothing verifiable behind it, is bait, not confidence.

6. You cannot verify who they are

No legal entity name, no registered company you can look up, terms that only exist verbally. A business asking for a percentage of everything you earn should, at the very least, exist on paper.

Their contract next to ours

If you want a reference point, these are Empire's own contract terms — the same ones published on our creator guarantees page. Use them to compare, not as a sales pitch.

What to look for in theirsWhat Empire's published terms say
Commission and its base30% if you earn under USD 1,000 a month, 25% between 1,000 and 3,000, 20% from 3,000 — always on what you take home after OnlyFans' 20% cut, never on the gross.
Money before you earnNone: no fixed fees and no upfront payments.
Where your earnings goOnlyFans pays you directly into your own account; Empire never receives or holds your earnings. You pay the commission by transfer after the monthly report.
Term and renewalAn initial three months, then automatic renewal every three months.
What leaving costsEither side can end it with 30 days' written notice, with no charge, penalty or exit fee.
ExclusivityOnly while the contract runs. When it ends, you are free.
Who owns whatYour OnlyFans account, content, subscribers and support accounts are yours. The one exception: the website Empire builds to promote you belongs to Empire and is lent to you while we work together.
The last dayWithin 5 calendar days: every login, password, email, support account and file handed back, our access ends, and you get written confirmation that we deleted your content.
Who writes in your chatA remote team in Latin America, coordinated from Mexico City. Every chatter signs a non-disclosure agreement, and a person reviews and sends every message.
Who the company isPanther Management Group S.A.S. de C.V., incorporated in Mexico (RFC PMG2608209C5).

Our honest commitment

The check is free and comes with no strings attached. We will not push you to sign with Empire: sending us a contract does not oblige you to anything, and a fair contract from another agency is still a fair contract. If the offer you have passes every point on this page, we will tell you so.

We know that, as an agency, we are an interested party. That is exactly why our own terms are published before anyone asks — so you can run this same checklist on us.

This is not legal advice. We are not lawyers and this check does not replace one. If a contract has no exit clause, or an agency refuses to honor its own terms, get independent legal advice. For any legal decision, talk to a lawyer licensed in your state or country.
